LITERACY SPECIAL PROJECTS GRANTS

Only current, fully paid-up members of the Oregon Reading Association are eligible to receive these grants.

A one-page proposal, which cannot be returned, should be submitted, telling how you would use the $200 grant money to promote literacy in Oregon.

The judges will use the following criteria in making their decisions:
• The clarity and completeness of the proposal.
• The extent of the project's impact.
• Its value in promoting literacy.
• The use of effecive literacy practices.
• Sustainability of the project after special grant funding.

Judging will be by members of the ORA Executive Board and others. Winners of the grants will be notified in December, 2008. A list of winners will be published in the Oregon Reading Association newsletter, the ORAcle and posted here.

The deadline for completed entries is November 15, 2008.
