- Ideas and Activities for the Pat Gallagher Book Award Nominated
books for 2009-2010. Presented
by Karen Antikajian.The program is most appropriate for primary and intermediate elementary students but can be used in upper grades as well. Leave with a set of books for your school and a thick activity guide full of ideas on how to use the books. Snacks

November, 2009, Books for Los Barilles. In conjunction with Mt. Bachelor Rotary, we will begin gathering Scholastic Books in Spanish for the schools in Los Barilles, Mexico. Save your Scholastic Bonus points to donate to this worthy international project.
January, 2010, A Taste of Books. Our council will be putting baskets of books in local restaurants and other places in the surrounding communities. These are for families to use while they are waiting for their meals, the dentist, etc. The project will continue through March 2nd in honor of Dr. Seuss' Birthday.
